Project meeting in Estonia

Project Meeting in Estonia
(18-20 Sept)

On Friday afternoon, people from Germany, Turkey, Spain, Ireland, England and Pärnu arrived in front of our schoolhouse.
The majority of students and teachers had assembled outside of the school to welcome the guests. When everyone was back inside, we gathered in the assembly hall where the English teacher explained what was going to happen. After that younger folk dancers entertained the audience. The Headmaster gave his speech, our English teacher forwarded his text in English. Then Märt Riisenberg, a representative of Kehtna local governemnt also gave his welcoming speech. After that, a tour in the schoolhouse was held. After the school introduction we had lunch in the canteen. After the lunch we gathered in the media classroom, where every country showed its film, in which they introduced their homeland. Turkey had 3 films. After the film presentation we went back into to the assembly hall, where 4-member teams were formed and teams had a quiz about the watched films. Then each of the teams had to draw a poster related to the title of the project - "Life in Harmony with Nature". In the evening students went to their host families and teachers went to "Krantsi Kõrts" for dinner. On Saturday morning at 10 am we again assembled in front of the school and the tour around Kehtna began. It lasted for an hour. At 11 am we headed to Järvakandi Glass Museum. After two hours' tour we went to Nõmme pub. When everyone had eaten, we headed to Rapla. After 30 minutes' shopping in Rapla we finally arrived at Tarsi village, where we had a walk in the Keava bog. Once we arrived back at Tarsi farm, every country had a chance to perform folk dances typical to their country and others could practise. At 21 pm we left Tarsi and the students went back to their host families and the teachers to the hostel. On Sunday morning we gathered in front of the schoolhouse and the foreign guests went on the bus and headed to their homeland.
