ACTIVITIES IN SEPTEMBER AND OCTOBER

I meeting
On 4. September the teachers Airi Metsaäär, Mall Niinemets, Meeli Jänes and Tiiu Speek had a meeting where Meeli introduced our next Comenius project "Life in Harmony with Nature". teachers decided to have regular meetings with students on Thursdays.

II meeting
On 11. September the teachers told the students, interested in the project work, about the project "Life in Harmony with Nature". We discussed the activities we are going to do at first. We chose the students who are going to film and divided the places they are going to film. Finally we took a picture of our project team and sent it to England to put it on the webpage.

III meeting
On 25. September we discussed the filming. We wrote down the texts and our English teacher Tiiu helped us to translate them into English. We decided to film our school's Teachers' Day and Sports Day that were coming soon.

Making the film

On 29. September we filmed in Keava bog to introduce the nature of our home neighbourhood. The weather was nice and warm. We found many cranberries that include a lot of vitamin C. Some of us went home with wet feet. We got the first experience on filming. It was fun and interesting.

On 3.October we celebrated the annual Teachers' Day in our school. The students of 9. grade gave lessons and got their first experience on teaching. The lessons and the ceremony were filmed by the project team.

Translating the questionnaire

On 9. October students: Raimond, Siim, Mariliis and Oliver translated the questionnaire into Estonian. Teacher Airi put the questionnaire up in e-formular (www.eformular.com/airimets/kysimustik.htm). It is easier to fill it in there and to analyze the results.

Filming the school

From 13.-16. October Raimond, Mariliis and Oliver filmed the classes, school house and students' life. They got some help from Jane, Marelle, Kristel, Lauri, Ranner, Larsen and teachers Airi and Meeli. On 16. October the IT supporter of our project Raul Metsaäär helped us to download the filmed material to a computer. He also taught us how to montage the film.

IV meeting

It is our autumn school holiday. Teachers Airi, Mall and Meeli got together to learn how to use the step counters. They decided to use them for a week then it is easier to teach the students later. Teachers made plans for the next term at school:

• to reflect the project work at school
• to fill in the questionnaire in e-formular
• to start using the step counters
• to finish the montage of the film

Later on teachers Airi and Meeli wrote some texts and put the pictures to the Estonian blog of the project. They started a new blog in English that is for the project partners to get to know what we are doing. HERE IT IS!!!
