Feedback from Spain

Our team is back from their journey. Today they shared their impressions about the trip.
Liisbet´s feedback is:
"We flew to Spain by three airplanes. After the second flight we had about 6 hours´ free time and so we went sightseeing in Madrid. When we arrived in Ferrol, it was already evening and we went straight to our host families. The next day we went to school and listened to presentations about the electricity saving campaign.
After that we ate lunch and walked to the town. We visited the shore as well. It was very beautiful, but also windy there. In the evening we went to our families.

On Friday we talked about healthy food and we did well on our presentation. We also made posters about this topic. We ate lunch and went to a national park called „Fragas do Eume“. It was very beautiful there and we loved being there. In the evening I went out dining and bowling with my host family. We arrived home about twelve o´clock and went directy to bed.
On Saturday we visited Santiago de Campostela. We went to a cathedral there and after that we had free time, which we used up by shopping and just looking around. In the evening we went to a restaurant and after that back to home. We had to wake up at 3.30, because we had to go to our teachers´ hotel and after that to the airport. We arrived in Estonia by three airplanes again. I really liked Spain and I´d love to go back there some day again."

Evita thoughts of the trip:

"On 3rd March, we reached Spain. On 4th March, we had a tour in Ferrol. We walked on the beach of the Atlantic Ocean and in San Felipe`s castle. The next day we went to Fragas do Eume national park. There was a dark-green coloured river. Next to the river, there was a pathway which was 8 kilometres long. On the other side, there was a small path, where we could also walk. On 6th March we went to Santiago de Compostela city. In Santiago we visited an old cathedral. It was really huge and gorgeous. We also went on its roof. Later we visited Hercules`s tower, but we couldn`t get inside because it was closed. In the evening we went to a restaurant for a meal in A Coruna town. On Sunday we came back to Estonia."

Project Meeting in Spain 3rd March 2010.

On 3rd March morning our team set off to Tallinn airport at 4.15 AM, to fly through Copenhagen to Madrid, from there to Santiago De Compostela. At 9 PM the team met the Spanish hosts and got on the bus to Ferrol town.
We have received a message that our team has succesfully arrived and that they have already had a look in Madrid.

Spain Project Meeting Preperations Conclusions.

First of all, teachers put together the slideshow how the traditional foods were made and how the students decorated the recipes. The school is still running the energy savings program Switch Off. A brief conclusion of how much we've saved so far was made and the presentation for the project meeting.
In order to perform well, Liisbet, Evita and Lauri practiced their English presentation with teacher Evelyn for a few days. Liisbet and Evita communicated actively with the Spanish host students.
Lauri was a humble letter writer. Tuesday, before heading off, we discussed what we should take with us. Everyone was excited about the trip.
